By extending the life of your fruits and veggies, you’re not only cutting down on waste, but also squeezing more joy out of the season’s short-lived bounty. Plus, it’s a fun way to get a little more creative in the kitchen.
Keep reading for 10 practical tips (and simple recipes!) to preserve the flavor of summer—so it can stick around just a little longer.
1. Freeze Your Berries Right
Gently rinse, dry, freeze on a tray.

2. Roast and Freeze Tomatoes
Roast with garlic and olive oil, freeze in portions.

3. Make Pesto with Any Greens
